Eagles Q&A: Landon Dickerson’s bucket list item originally appeared on NBC Sports Philadelphia

Each week during the 2022 season we’re going through the Eagles’ media guide to find an interesting nugget.

The Eagles’ PR interns do a great job filling out these little oddities in the media guides and they serve as a good way to meet the player behind the helmet.

This week, we chatted with left guard Landon Dickerson who says traveling to every continent is on his bucket list.

Me: How many do you have now?

Dickerson: Oh just one.

Me: So only North America?

Dickerson: Yeah, only North America.

Me: So what would be at the top of your list? The next one you’d like to visit?

Dickerson: I think Europe would would be fun. A lot of adjustment to the NFL and not a whole to of time. Especially because I have a lot of things to do this offseason too. But hopefully I have enough life left to do some of these things.

Me: If you had to rank them, if Europe’s at the top …

Dickerson: I wouldn’t say Europe’s at the top. It’s hard to rank because you just want to explore and see things. Obviously, there’s a whole world out there. I know it’s very different than what you see in the U.S. Geography-wise, not even culture. You go from Pennsylvania to Florida to Texas to Montana, Colorado, it’s so different everywhere.

Me: Yeah, sure.

Dickerson: I enjoy the outdoors so being able to see stuff like that. I enjoy it.

Me: How about in terms of travel in the U.S, is there a favorite place you’ve been?

Dickerson: (Long pause) Probably … like Steamboat Springs, Colorado, like out there in the mountains. Or the Oregon coast.

Me: Yeah, so definitely outdoor stuff.

Dickerson: Yeah, I don’t know. Landscape geography. It’s cool to see it. You see like pictures online and it would be cool to go out there and see stuff like that.

Me: I get that. That’s the stuff I like to see too. Obviously when you’re traveling as a football team, you don’t get to see a ton.

Dickerson: Not a whole lot. From the plane.

Me: Are there places you think, ‘I’d like to get back there.”

Dickerson: Yeah. On the flights and stuff. Sadly, I’m in the middle row so I don’t have windows. I just usually try to peak out one side whenever we’re getting close somewhere and kind of look around.

Me: Oh, who’s in the window next to you?

Dickerson: Oh no. There’s like window row, middle row, window row. It’s like nine seats across. So I’m in the middle.

Me: OK, so you have no shot.

Dickerson: Yeah.

Me: Anywhere else, a favorite trip aside from Colorado or Oregon that stand out?

Dickerson: Not really. Those are some of my favorite ones. Hopefully, I’ll do a couple more this offseason.

Me: Gotcha. Thank you, man. I appreciate it.

Dickerson: Of course.
