Eagles’ Milton Williams on practicing against the best O-Line in NFL: It makes my job easier

Philadelphia selected Milton Williams in the third round (73rd overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft, and he’s quickly becoming a valued addition to one of the team’s deepest units.

His coming out party came during the 2021 NFC Wild Card Playoff loss to the Buccaneers, where he tallied a career-high-tying four tackles and one pressure over 39 snaps.

In 2022, Williams appeared in all 17 games and recorded 36 total tackles, nine tackles for loss, six quarterback hits, 4.0 sacks, and two passes defended.

His vast improvement can be attributed to practicing against Jason Kelce, Landon Dickerson, and Isaac Seumalo before he departed for Pittsburgh.

While appearing on a podcast with Lord Brunson and Philly Mike, Williams credited daily repetitions against Jeff Stoutland’s top-ranked unit for his yearly improvements.

Williams’s four sacks, 6 QB hits, and nine tackles for loss were among the only players in his position to earn such a stat line without starting a game.

Williams had a career-high eight tackles in the Week 10 loss to Washington.

With Javon Hargrave moving on to San Francisco and Fletcher Cox a year older, Williams has an excellent opportunity to carve out his role despite Philadelphia adding Jalen Carter.
