Fletcher Cox and Cam Johnston both active vs. Cowboys originally appeared on NBC Sports Philadelphia

Despite being listed as questionable, Fletcher Cox (neck) and punter Cameron Johnston (concussion) are both active for Sunday’s game in Dallas.

The only other players listed as questionable this weekend was Derek Barnett (calf), who was ruled out when he didn’t travel with the team on Saturday.

Here’s a full look at the Eagles’ inactives for Sunday:

  • DE Derek Barnett (calf)

  • LB Duke Riley (biceps)

  • TE Richard Rodgers (ankle)

  • QB Nate Sudfeld

  • WR J.J. Arcega-Whiteside

  • WR John Hightower

  • RB Jason Huntley

Johnston cleared the NFL’s concussion protocol before leaving Philadelphia but the fact that he’s active means he didn’t exhibit any concussion symptoms since then. That’s good news for the Eagles, who had contingency plans in place if Johnson couldn’t go. Last week, Jake Elliott became the punter and Zach Ertz became the holder.

Cox has been dealing with this neck injury for a few weeks now and he missed all three days of practice this week. But Cox has said before that it would take a really serious injury for him to ever miss a game. Cox has been as durable as he’s been tough during his NFL career. He has missed just three total games since he was drafted in 2012.

DeSean Jackson is active after getting activated off IR on Saturday. He has missed the last seven games with an ankle injury. The Eagles have eight receivers on their active roster but just six are active for Sunday: Jackson, Alshon Jeffery, Greg Ward, Jalen Reagor, Quez Watkins, Travis Fulgham.

DT T.Y. McGill and TE Caleb Wilson, who were signed to the active roster on Saturday, are active. So too are RB Jordan Howard and DE Joe Ostman, who were elevated from the practice squad for this game.

With Howard up for this game, rookie Jason Huntley is inactive.

Without Barnett and Josh Sweat, who was placed on IR, the Eagles are a little light at defensive end in this game. Expect Genard Avery and Ostman to round out the rotation and perhaps we even see Malik Jackson get some snaps at end in this game.
