Much has been made about the relationship between Eagles head coach Doug Pederson and franchise quarterback, Carson Wentz.
Wentz’s late-season benching has led to some speculation that he’d prefer to move and be traded away during the offseason.
The crux of the debate has centered around the relationship between quarterback and veteran head coach. Several times this season, Doug Pederson has stated that his relationship with Wentz is very good.
On Sunday night, Pederson reiterated the same statement, telling the media that he’s unaware of any personal strife and that his goal is simply getting Wentz fixed.
Pederson went more in-depth during his Monday zoom meeting.
“The relationship is good, it’s fine. It’s something we’re going to continue to build upon. I know Carson is disappointed.”
Pederson went on to say that he has the “utmost respect” for Carson Wentz and he feels like the Eagles can get things corrected and back on track.
