Eagles coach Nick Sirianni provides an update on the status of Miles Sanders and Jordan Howard

While teams around the league have started preparation for the draft or hiring new coaches, the Eagles have started preparation for a wild card weekend matchup against the Buccaneers.

Philadelphia suffered a 51-26 loss in the season finale, but that was with 20+ starters out via the inactive list, the COVID-19 list, or in Miles Sanders’ case, a broken hand.

Head coach Nick Sirianni provided an update on the status of Sanders, Jordan Howard, and other key Eagles heading into Sunday.

Sanders missed the final two weeks of the season after breaking his hand, and head coach Nick Sirianni is hopeful that his most explosive player will be available.

Philadelphia will need to run the ball on Tampa Bay and Sanders will be a key figurehead in that goal.

The thunder to Miles Sanders’ lightning, Howard is also hopeful to play through another stinger.

Howard looked far from himself in Philadelphia’s win over Washington and his status will be something to watch.

Huntley looked explosive running the ball and in the return game as well, prompting some to question whether Huntley should be inserted into the lineup in place of Jalen Reagor.

While Sirianni acknowledged Huntley’s play on Saturday night, the head coach also acknowledged that elevating Huntley would mean making another key player inactive.
