DWU's Ady Dwight, Kayleigh Hybertson earn GPAC volleyball player of the week honors

Oct. 31—MITCHELL — Dakota Wesleyan volleyball's Ady Dwight and Kayleigh Hybertson earned Great Plains Athletic Conference attacker and setter of the week honors for the week of Oct. 23-29, respectively.

It's Dwight's third weekly honor this season and eighth of her collegiate career, while Hybertson earned her second honor in the past three weeks.

Dwight, a senior from Langford picked up 46 kills last week and posted a .488 attack percentage. She posted a pair of 20-kill games, with a .576 attack percentage against Briar Cliff Oct. 25. Dwight is now second all-time in kills for the Tigers, and ranks in the top-three in kills (530) and kills per set (4.73) in the NAIA.

Hybertson, a freshman from Sioux Falls, collected 90 assists in the Tigers' two victories last week, picking up double-doubles as well. The former Harrisburg High School standout had 10 and 15 digs in those games. Overall, Hyberston leads the GPAC in assists (1,120) and is second in assists per set (10.37). She also ranks among the top-15 in the NAIA in both categories.

DWU closes out its regular season Oct. 31 against No. 12-ranked Jamestown in North Dakota. The GPAC conference tournament begins with quarterfinal matches on Nov. 4.
