Dundee United 2-4 Spartans: What the managers said

Dundee United boss Suzy Shepherd:

"It is really disappointing, we wanted the three points and it is just really frustrating. I think the manner we started the game really let us down. We knew they were going to come at us, we had done all the preparation but we just started really slack. We can't make that many individual errors.

"We lost the two early goals but we showed glimpses of what we could do. We got ourselves back in it so there's loads of positives but we need to start the game so much sharper."

Spartans boss Jack Beesley:

"I'm delighted with the result, we said before the game that it was all about winning so to come away with the three points is the most pleasing thing.

"I thought we started the game great, with the season we have had it would've been quite easy for the girls to go under when it got to 3-2 whereas we kind of weathered the storm a little bit. When we scored the fourth goal it settled us back down again. Irrespective of performance we wanted to get the win and we did that."
