DT Davis draws four-game PED suspension

Defensive tackle Carl Davis has been suspended for the first four games of the 2020 season due to a violation of the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs, according to multiple reports Tuesday.

Davis finished the 2019 season with the Jacksonville Jaguars and is slated to become a free agent in March.

Davis will be eligible to take part in training camp and preseason games if he signs with a team.

The 27-year-old Davis made one tackle in two games for Jacksonville after joining the team in late November. He also played in one game for the Indianapolis Colts, who released him earlier in the month.

Davis also has played for the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns and has 32 tackles and a half-sack in 36 career appearances (12 starts). He was a third-round draft choice of the Ravens in 2015.
