Draymond throws shade at D-Wade after MSU upsets Marquette originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

Draymond Green had some fun at the expense of NBA legend Dwyane Wade and former Warriors teammate Juan Toscano-Anderson on Sunday night.

Green watched as his No. 7-seeded Michigan State Spartans upset Wade and Toscano-Anderson's alma mater, the No. 2 seed Marquette Golden Eagles, 69-60 in the second round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament.

"There's Mr. March," Draymond said on his Instagram story as he watched Michigan State coach Tom Izzo walk through the handshake line after the game. "Tell 'em, Juan T, don't cry. D-Wade, tell him man, don't cry."

Michigan State advanced to the Sweet 16 round for the first time since 2019.

As all Warriors fans know, Green's long list of winning accolades began during his four seasons with the Spartans from 2008 to 2012. He reached the Final Four twice wearing the Michigan State green and white, including the 2009 national championship game as a freshman.

Wade played two seasons for the Golden Eagles from 2001 to 2003 and led them to the Final Four in his second year. Toscano-Anderson spent all four of his collegiate seasons in Milwaukee (2011 to 2015) and helped the team advance to the Elite Eight round in 2013.

The Spartans will face No. 3 seed Kansas State on Thursday night. There are only two players currently in the NBA who played for Kansas State -- Detroit Pistons guard Rodney McGruder and Cleveland Cavaliers forward Dean Wade.
