Kerr says Draymond will play in Warriors vs. Blazers game originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

After missing the second half of the Warriors' blowout loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday with a sprained ankle, Draymond Green returned to practice Tuesday and will play Wednesday vs. the Portland Trail Blazers, according to coach Steve Kerr.

"Draymond practiced and will play tomorrow," Kerr said during a video conference with reporters Tuesday afternoon.

Kerr noted Green practiced in full with the Warriors, and should be good to go when Golden State takes on Damian Lillard and the Trail Blazers at Moda Center.

This is obviously good news, as Green left Sunday's contest in the first half after rolling his left ankle while defending the basket as Lakers guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope drove down the lane.

He would not return to the game, and the Lakers would roll to an ugly 117-91 win at Staples Center.

The Warriors hardly want to be without Green. He has set the tone for Golden State as of late with his notable defense and crisp passing and facilitating on offense. The Warriors will need him as they aim to close out the first half of the season with wins against Portland and the Phoenix Suns.
