The NBA world couldn't believe its eyes Tuesday night. The supposed Super Team of Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and the rest of the Los Angeles Clippers blew a three-games-to-one lead in an epic collapse to the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference semifinals.
This was supposed to be an all-LA West Finals. Kawhi and PG were supposed to dominate. The Clippers Curse was supposed to be over.
Well, it's still alive. And of course, Twitter has receipts. Especially Lakers Twitter.
In a video that went viral Tuesday night, Draymond Green, Kevin Durant, Matt Barnes and many others are seen at one point picking the Clippers over the Lakers or even picking the Clippers to win the West.
"I have a hard time pickin' against the Clippers," Green said when asked by TNT's Ernie Johnson who the better team in LA is.
"Ummm ... the Clippers," Durant said when asked before the season on EBRO In The Morning on Hot97 FM who would win the West.
"Clippers on the other hand, have a team that completely bought in last year with no superstars, have two of the most unselfish superstars that can go both ways -- obviously Paul George's shoulder's gonna be a big concern -- but I think it's the Clippers' championship to lose this year," Barnes said during the preseason.
Again, who could blame Green and these former Warriors? Multiple other NBA players past and present showed their belief in the Clippers throughout the video.
And every NBA expert picked the Clippers over the Nuggets. Every single one.
Twitter always has receipts, and it always will be understandable why these players and pundits picked the Clippers. The point of all this? Curses are real.
