Draymond Green: Harrison Barnes doesn’t like me to this day over Kevin Durant signing

The beef between Ray Allen and the Boston Celtics is apparently not the only time a championship-winning team had a falling out between its key players. Although it isn’t nearly on the same level of pettiness as the Celtics’ grudge, the Golden State Warriors 2015 team is fractured. Draymond Green said on his podcast that Harrison Barnes supposedly keeps his distance from him because he played a big role in convincing Kevin Durant to join the Warriors in the 2016 offseason. He added that Barnes doesn’t do the same for Stephen Curry or Klay Thompson and addressed what the situation was like.

My hope is that one day, athletes stop fighting the athletes are dumb thing. We actually are. We are the CEOs of a business. Yet 90% doesn’t understand the business. But have the nerve to get mad when someone says Athletes are dumb. – 9:30 PM

More on this storyline

“Harrison Barnes, I think to this day don’t like me for KD coming here. And the reality is, I did’t tell [Warriors GM Bob Myers] to trade you to bring KD in…He took it very personally because of that story that came out that I cried to KD in the car. He took it very personally at me. This dude invite [sic] Steph, Klay, everybody to his wedding except me…I didn’t take it personally ’cause it is what it is…It sucks that you got traded by you went and made your money.” -via Clutch Points / February 23, 2022
