Drake trolls Klay Thompson after Raptors win Game 3

Everyone was waiting for Drake to show up for Game 3 of the NBA Finals, and though he wasn’t in attendance, he made his presence felt afterwards.

Drake, whether you hate him, love him, or are indifferent to him, has been a huge part of the Finals while supporting his beloved Toronto Raptors, and once the victory seemed to be in the bag, he trolled Warriors star Klay Thompson on Instagram.

The Canadian rapper found an old photo of Thompson and put it on his Instagram story, with the caption “Stay Golden, my friends” and several crying emojis. Golden State gave out t-shirts reading “Stay Golden” prior to the game, and it’s not even the first time in the series that Drake has targeted one of the Warriors’ injured stars.

During Game 2, Drake wore a sweater with a photo of actor Macaulay Culkin featuring as Kevin from Home Alone, a nod at Kevin Durant being out of the series to date due to a calf injury.

Thompson was a game-time decision after suffering a hamstring injury during Golden State’s Game 2 victory, but was held out at the last possible second. The Warriors missed his elite defence and shooting, clearly, and to Drake’s endless satisfaction, the Raptors now hold a 2-1 series lead after winning 123-109 on Wednesday.
