Drake, Raptors fans troll Joel Embiid with airplane celebration

Joel Embiid was in his feelings after a miserable Game 5 outing and Drake, along with a chorus of Toronto Raptors fans, made sure to let the 76ers’ star feel their wrath Tuesday night.

Embiid infamously trolled the Raptors during a Game 3 victory, pantomiming an airplane as the Sixers emerged with a 116-95 win to establish a 2-1 series lead at the time.

After Kawhi Leonard put the Raptors on his back to take Game 4, Embiid was bullied from the outset in Game 5. The 76ers’ center scored 13 points in 31 minutes and posted eight turnovers before exiting the contest for good at the 9:05 mark of the fourth quarter as karma came back around.

Just look at the Raptors and Drake (so much for the curse!) troll a clearly upset Embiid.

Embiid’s dreadful night was underscored by a vicious Kawhi Leonard dunk. It’s not often that an elite rim protector like Embiid ends up on a poster, but Leonard rose up and slammed on him to punctuate a dominant Raptors effort.

After the game, Embiid said he wasn’t focused on the crowd.

Embiid apparently had words for Drake afterwards, but his point may have been rendered moot after the Raptors’ blowout win.

For the Raptors, life is amazing, it is what it should be, and perhaps there’s a lesson to be learned: be weary of trolling your opponent before the series is over.
