Drake embraced with Scottie Barnes, Raptors courtside in Toronto

·1 min read

On Monday, Grammy-award-winning artist Drake sat courtside to watch the Toronto Raptors host the Houston Rockets, his first game of the season at Scotiabank Arena.

Drake, who serves as a global ambassador for the organization, was seen embracing several Raptors personnel, including Scottie Barnes, Dalano Banton and head coach Nick Nurse. He also joined the Raptors’ broadcast and spoke about the team on TSN.

The Toronto native previously met Barnes and Banton after the Raptors drafted the two players. He wasted no time in welcoming them to Toronto as he linked up with them at the team facility just a few days after the draft.

With Drake in the house, the Raptors cruised to a 107-92 win over the Rockets. OG Anunoby and Precious Achiuwa each led the way for the Raptors with 17 points apiece while Barnes finished with 10 points and four rebounds and Banton chipped in nine points.

Toronto finishes up the preseason on Tuesday versus the Washington Wizards.
