Manchester City will attempt to hold their lead over Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night as they face each other in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final.

Pep Guardiola’s side claimed a 2-1 win in the first leg thanks to goals from Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden. Good news for City is the two stars, who were rested at the weekend, are expected to feature in the fixture.

The clash is primed to be a competitive one as Erling Haaland, who has scored 33 goals across all competitions so far this season, is also set to feature. He will want to continue his phenomenal form as the question of where he will play his future football is starting to circulate.

Dortmund are adamant they want to keep the star striker at the German club. However, his agent Mino Raiola has suggested he could play elsewhere next season with top clubs, such as City, having interest in him.

The Bundesliga club may have Haaland in their starting 11 but one star they are still without is Jadon Sancho. The winger has returned to training but is not yet ready to take the pitch after sustaining a thigh injury six weeks ago.

When is it?

The match will kick off at 8pm GMT on Wednesday, April 14.

How can I watch it?

The fixture will air live on BT Sport 3. Subscribers can also stream the action live on the broadcaster’s website and app.

Confirmed line-ups

Dortmund XI: Hitz, Guerreiro, Hummels, Akanji, Morey, Can, Dahoud, Bellingham, Knauff, Reus, Haaland

Man City XI: Ederson, Walker, Dias, Stones, Zinchenko, Rodrigo, Gundogan, De Bruyne, Mahrez, Bernardo, Foden

Odds

Draw: 1/8

Man City: 15/8

Prediction

City could have more firepower with their rested players raring to go and they will want to get their side back to winning ways after they fell to defeat against Leeds United at the weekend. Despite Dortmund having star quality in Haaland, it won’t be enough to overcome the lead City already have. Dortmund 1-3 Manchester City (agg 2-5).
