Don't want to drive to Tennessee Titans playoff game? Bus ride from Columbia, Williamson County an option

Clyde VanTassell has big plans for his tour bus company, Do South Tours, on Saturday when the Tennessee Titans host the Cincinnati Bengals in an AFC divisional round playoff game at Nissan Stadium.

VanTassell plans to offer a tour bus to go to Nashville for the game and surrounding activities for those not wanting to drive.

VanTassell's plan includes three pickup locations: 1 p.m. at Tenn Pin Alley in Columbia, 1:30 p.m. Kroger Marketplace in Thompson's Station and 2 p.m. at Kroger in Franklin on Highway 96. There will be 46 seats available for $30 per seat.

The game kicks off at 3:30 p.m. The pickup time will be soon after the game ends.

"We'll get everyone downtown for the playoffs, it will be exciting because you never know who you are going to see," VanTassell said. "Even if people don't have tickets to the game, we just want to get people down there to have a good time."

To schedule a spot on the bus, go to dosouthtours.simplybook.me or call 931-374-6123.

Do South Tours is based in Columbia and has done work with other local events, including First Friday, Monster Truck Jam, Nashville Predators hockey games, Christmas light tours and Vintage Winery.

VanTassell has local plans to support Maury County teams. VanTassell wants to take the buses to football games in the fall to get the community involved.

"The previous owner before did some high school games and provided transportation to those games for fans and parents. We want to bring that back and do regional transportation for those games," VanTassell said.

He also mentioned how Do South Tours could be an asset for staff and students as well.

"When the team needs a ride, we can provide that for them as well. We use to have the big Bluebird bus. There were out of town games where they did not have a bus and couldn't get a bus. I know our company did that in the past so we can do that too," VanTassell said.
