Dolphins Training Camp Practice Report 14: Tuesday

MIAMI GARDENS — The Dolphins had one practice on Tuesday before they connect with the Eagles for joint work on Wednesday and Thursday.

Before practice the Dolphins announced that cornerback Mackensie Alexander is headed to injured reserve, possibly ending his season.

Alexander has a groin injury. It's possible Miami could reach an injury settlement with Alexander, and he would then be eligible to play this season.

This puts the Dolphins in a tough spot in terms of cornerback depth. It would be helpful if Noah Igbinoghene improved and Keion Crossen continued to practice well.

Among the other players Miami let go are safety Sheldrick Redwine.

Coach Mike McDaniel said Nik Needham is good to go in practice. And Crossen is day-to-day. McDaniel also said to expect fullback Alec Ingold to play Saturday.
