Dolphins have second-toughest schedule in 2023

The NFL has released a number of important matchups for the 2023 season, and the full schedule is set to be released Thursday night at 8:00 p.m. ET.

While we don’t know exactly when each game will take place, we know who the Miami Dolphins and the 31 other teams will be playing as well as where the contests will take place.

With that knowledge, many have begun looking at just how difficult the roads ahead will be for these teams. Using last year’s records, the Dolphins actually have the second-toughest schedule in the league with their 2023 opponents going 158-127-2 in 2022 (.554 winning percentage).

The only team above them is the defending NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles, whose opponents went 161-123-4 in 2022 (.556).

On the other end of the spectrum, no team has an easier path than the Atlanta Falcons, as their opponents had a 119-167-3 record in 2022 (.417).

While this is good information to have, Andrew Siciliano’s point in the tweet above is correct – what happened in the past isn’t totally relevant for the 2023 season.
