Just when the Miami Dolphins were starting to get healthy, they got some bad news. Brian Flores told reporters during his Friday media availability that wide receiver DeVante Parker had suffered a setback with his hamstring injury that made him doubtful for Week 9.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has now reported that the Dolphins have opted to place Parker on injured reserve which will keep him out for at least the next three games.

The 28-year-old suffered a hamstring injury in the week leading up to Miami’s matchup with the Jaguars. This was after he had missed the prior week with a shoulder. The hamstring forced him to miss Week 7 vs. Atlanta as well.

Parker returned against Buffalo last week and received 11 targets, bringing in eight for 85 yards.

Now, Parker will be on injured reserve for three important games including matchups with the Texans, Ravens, and Jets. If the hamstring isn’t feeling better by then, he could miss more time.

With Odell Beckham Jr. being released today, and the Dolphins having the second spot in the waiver order, this injury may make it more likely that they decide to claim him.

If they don’t their receiver room will be pretty empty for these upcoming contests just as it was earlier in the season.
