Find out why Charles Barkley named his daughter after a Delaware shopping mall

The Sixers' Moses Malone, 2, and Charles Barkley played together for two years in the mid-1980s.

Charles Barkley, the former Sixers star and current television personality, is full of stories. His latest is wholly Delaware.

In a video clip from "The Steam Room," his podcast with TNT host Ernie Johnson, Barkley recently explained he named his daughter, Christiana, after the Christiana Mall.

"There's a Christiana Mall in Delaware that I used to go by," he said. "That's how she got her name."

Johnson reacted with an exasperated stop, raising both arms like a traffic conductor. He then asked why.

"I don't know," Barkley said. "I just liked the mall."

Christiana Barkley is 32 years old, born in 1989 when the round mound of rebound was in the middle of his prime with the Sixers. She is Barkley's only child.

"You're a mess man," Johnson replied.
