How did Larry Fitzgerald, other former Cardinals do at American Century Championship?

Over the weekend at South Lake Tahoe, the American Century Championship, a yearly celebrity golf tournament, took place and many former Arizona Cardinals players participated.

Carson Palmer, Larry Fitzgerald and Patrick Peterson have participated for years and Dwight Freeney also played this past weekend.

Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and current CBS analyst Tony Romo won the tournament in a two-hole playoff.

Carson Palmer

Palmer was the best of the former Cardinals players. He finished in 15th place with a total score of 42.

In this tournament, scoring is not done by number of strokes. Instead, they allot points for eagles, birdies and pars, and they subtract points for double bogeys.

Palmer birdied nine holes, bogeyed 12 and had six double bogeys or worse.

Dwight Freeney

Freeney, who played for the Cardinals in 2015, finished tied for 41st place. He had a final score of 12.

He had four birdies, 23 bogeys and nine double bogeys or worse.

Larry Fitzgerald

Fitzgerald finished tied for 44th place with a score of 10.

He finished with no birdies, 20 bogeys and eight double bogeys or worse.

Patrick Peterson

Peterson, now a cornerback for the Vikings, finished tied for 46th place with eight points.

He had two birdies, 12 bogeys and 13 double bogeys or worse.
