Ever since Boris Johnson announced this week that UK lockdown rules may lift entirely by June 21st, the nation has whipped itself up into a flurry of excitement. All of my WhatsApp group chats have become happy streams of possible travel plans, rescheduled weddings, and just plain old "when can we go to the pub again" chat. (Can you blame us?!)

Of course, the lockdown rules lifting by any date depends on the nation continuing to follow local safety guidelines and get vaccinated, but tbh, we all need to indulge in some hope for a light at the end of this long tunnel. The. Excitement. My mind is already jumping ahead to lazy afternoons in the park, dips in the pond, and sitting on a d*mn terrace with my friends, pint in hand. What a luxury.

And you better believe I'm already doing some #SummerOutfitResearch for my role as a shopping editor, since we have plenty of time to plan and all that. It's fun to have something light-hearted to fantasise about, isn't it? If you're a jeans-and-a-cute-top kind of girl, Kylie Jenner just potentially wore your ideal June 21st, end-of-lockdown, let's go Out Out immediately outfit.

Let's start with the top: she's wearing one of spring's biggest trends, aka criss-crossing straps. It's Kylie, so you know this isn't your average off-the-rack item. Her bright top is from Versace's Spring/Summer 1995 collection, and it just told me to down another shot of tequila before the Uber gets here.

The straps are joined together by a giant silver logo buckle (cool), and she paired her top with flawlessly-tailored white high-waist jeans. (Uniqlo makes a really good £35 pair). She played up the juicy colours in her top with stacked pastel rings, which are in line with this year's major boom in hand-made, kitsch jewellery. (See: La Manso, Blobb, Etsy crafters). Her pop-tab earrings continue that jewellery trend. If it's made from clay, glass, resin, beads, or once-tacky rhinestones, it's gonna be big, FYI.

This unapologetically sunny outfit is practically making me pace around with excitement for some warm weather and freedom. What will you be wearing once you can meet up with friends again?
