The Devils have re-signed defenseman Jonas Siegenthaler to a two-year deal, the team announced Friday morning.

The two-year deal is worth $2.25 million, with Siegenthaler getting $1.05 million in Year 1, and $1.20 million in Year 2.

Siegenthaler was traded by the Washington Capitals to New Jersey in the middle of the 2020-2021 season for a conditional third-round pick in the upcoming 2021 NHL Draft.

Once in New Jersey, Siegenthaler appeared in eight games for a total of 141 minutes on the ice. He did not record a point on offense, and just four of his 18 shot attempts were on goal.

For his career, the 6-3, 211-pound defenseman has recorded 13 points (2 goals, 11 aassists) in 105 games played.
