Devils head coach Lindy Ruff said he was happy with the team's penalty kill during New Jersey's 4-3 shootout loss to the Buffalo Sabres, but overall knows his team needs to stop missing opportunities if they want to end this 3 game losing streak. Devils Center Janne Kuokkanen and left winger Andreas Johnsson scored their first goals of the season. Defenseman Damon Severson was also pleased with the way the special teams played in the loss.
