Deuce Tatum might be his father’s son, but that does not get the youngest baller in the Tatum family any preferential treatment on the court from his dad, star Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum.
The young fan favorite was making an appearance recently at his dad’s pro camp and cut towards the basket while his father guarded him. But Deuce is not quite ready for the NBA just yet, with the elder Tatum mercilessly swatting his layup attempt into another area code. Taco Jay’s son looked quite surprised but seemed to take the rejection in stride, an important part of learning to play the game at a high level.
To watch the Duke product and his adorable son (sort of) play some one-on-one ball at Tatum’s youth camp, check out the clip below, courtesy of our own Cameron Tabatabaie.
