ROTATION WOES: Tigers put starter Spencer Turnbull on injured list with right forearm strain

PROSPECT WATCH: Minor league statistics for 2021

ROSTER MOVES: Detroit Tigers cut JaCoby Jones, call up Jason Foley, send Michael Fulmer to injured list

Probable starting pitchers: Tigers RHP Jose Urena (2-4, 4.14 ERA) vs. White Sox RHP Dylan Cease (3-2, 3.79 ERA).

Game notes: Saturday was a big afternoon for Tigers rookies, as Tarik Skubal struck out 11 in just five innings while allowing one run on four hits, and Eric Haase (a Dearborn Divine Child alum) homered twice to drive in three runs. Haase's blasts followed a two-run homer on Friday and gave him seven homers on the season, tied for fourth among rookies. Veteran righty Jose Urena is expected to be activated off the 10-day injured list after leaving his previous start, on May 26, with right forearm tightness after 5⅔ innings. Urena, who signed a one year, $3.25 million contract with the Tigers during the offseason, didn't allow a run in that game and has four quality starts in 10 appearances as a Tiger.

Tigers lineup:

Jonathan Schoop 1B

Jeimer Candelario 3B

Miguel Cabrera DH

Eric Haase C

Nomar Mazara RF

Niko Goodrum SS

Willi Castro 2B
