Game notes: The new-look Wings host one of the last unbeaten teams, though the Panthers will have a brand-new coach behind the bench. Assistant Andrew Brunette takes over after Joel Quenneville resigned on Thursday night. Quenneville was accused of ignoring the sexual assault allegedly committed by one of his assistants while coaching the Chicago Blackhawks to the Stanley Cup in 2010. After a two-hour meeting with NHL commissioner Gary Bettman on Thursday, Quenneville tendered his resignation, saying in a statement: "With deep regret and contrition, I announce my resignation as head coach of the Florida Panthers. I want to express my sorrow for the pain this young man, Kyle Beach, has suffered.

"My former team the Blackhawks failed Kyle and I own my share of that. I want to reflect on how all of this happened and take the time to educate myself on ensuring hockey spaces are safe for everyone."

The Panthers have scored 31 goals against 13 allowed. Wings have 23 goals for and 23 against.
