Game notes: The Pistons will try to build their first win streak of the season after beating the Boston Celtics, 108-102, on Friday. Saddiq Bey led the Pistons with 30 points and an NBA rookie-record 7-for-7 shooting from 3-point range. Blake Griffin (rest) and Sekou Doumbouya (concussion) are out, but Mason Plumlee (elbow) returns. ... Zion Williamson (24.3 points per game on 61.9% shooting) and Brandon Ingram (23.9 ppg on 47%) lead a Pelicans team riding a two-game losing streak. They are coached by former Pistons president/head coach Stan Van Gundy, who makes his first trip back to Detroit since being fired after the 2018 season.

WINDSOR: Many laughed when Jerami Grant signed with Pistons. Who's laughing now?
