Detroit Pistons collapse in 4Q of 112-100 loss to Miami Heat: Game thread recap

Detroit Pistons (16-55) vs. Miami Heat (38-34)

When: 6 p.m. Sunday.

Where: Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.

TV: Bally Sports Detroit.

Radio: 97.1 FM (Pistons radio affiliates).

Betting line: Heat by 10½.

Box score

Game notes: Miami played and lost at Chicago on Saturday night, 113-99, so the Pistons, who last played Thursday in a loss to Denver, have the hefty rest advantage. The Pistons are the NBA's worst team, two wins behind San Antonio and Houston. The Heat are seventh in the Eastern Conference and hoping to climb past Brooklyn to guarantee themselves a playoff spot and stay out of the play-in tournament. The Pistons waxed the Heat on the road in December, 116-96. We'll see if coach Dwane Casey goes back to the Jalen Duren-James Wiseman pairing after debuting it in the second half vs. the Nuggets. The Heat have three players who score at least 20 points per game in Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro.

STAR TURN:Pistons want Jalen Duren to become their version of Miami's Bam Adebayo, and he knows it

BIG PICTURE:Pistons invested big in Jalen Duren and James Wiseman. But can they play together?

NBA DRAFT BIG BOARD:How would top 7 prospects fit in this Pistons rebuild?
