COREY ROBINSON: The absence of Ja Morant has thrust Tyus Jones into a leading role for the Memphis Grizzlies. But it has also impacted the role of starting guard Desmond Bane. When Jones has needed a rest, it's been Bane running the show, which has positively impacted his assist numbers. Bane has dished out five or more in each of the four games Memphis has played since Morant left the team, most recently accounting for eight assists in a March 11 comeback win over the Dallas Mavericks.

He also tallied 25 points, seven rebounds, and two 3-pointers in the victory, shooting 8 for 18 from the field and 7 for 8 from the foul line. While the lack of defensive stats has Bane sitting just outside the top 100 in nine cat per game value over the last week, the additional responsibilities have not negatively impacted his scoring or turnover numbers. With Memphis playing four games in each of the final four weeks of the regular season, and Morant still without a timeline for return, fantasy managers who have Bane rostered are in a very good spot.
