Texas A&M defensive back Derrick Tucker could be in some hot water after his arrest for his role in a parking lot fight.

How did he get there? In a word: tacos.

According to College Station’s KBTX, the Aggies junior was arrested on March 24 for an alleged assault in a Northgate parking lot after an argument over tacos with another man escalated into a fight. It is unclear what aspect of tacos the pair were arguing over.

After the fight — which reportedly occurred around 2 a.m. — was broken up and Tucker fled the scene, the junior also returned to allegedly hit the victim in the back of the head when he wasn’t looking.

Tucker was reportedly booked in Brazos County jail on Thursday with a $5,000 bond. Texas A&M also released a statement to KBTX:

Coach Fisher has been made aware of the situation surrounding Derrick Tucker. We will continue to gather details surrounding the situation and have no further comment at this time.

Police told KBTX that multiple witnesses were able to identify Tucker thanks to his place on the football team, which says something about the Aggies fanbase that enough people were able to identify a player with 54 career tackles and one interception at 2 a.m. for police.

Ranked by Rivals as the No. 13 safety in the Class of 2017, the former four-star recruit was a starter at safety last season and figures to occupy the same role this season.
