DeMarcus Ware: WFT 'hands down' a Super Bowl team with Watson originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

There’s a lot of components a team needs in order to be a Super Bowl contender, and former NFL linebacker DeMarcus Ware thinks the Washington Football Team will have enough to call themselves one if they can add a superstar at the most important position on the field.

When asked on the 106.7 The Fan's BMitch & Finlay Show if Washington will be a Super Bowl contender if Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson comes to town in a trade, the longtime Dallas Cowboy and Washington rival said “hands down."

“If they add him on that team, they're gonna be really hell to deal with next season,” Ware said.

With the Matt Stafford sweepstakes over, all eyes are on Watson and Washington won't be the only team interested. It’ll be a hefty price to pay for Watson, as quarterbacks like this don’t come around often, but this team needs to find a long-term solution at quarterback, something it hasn’t had in decades.
