Exactly nine years ago today -- May 7, 2011 -- Garnett powered the Celtics to a convincing 97-81 win over the Heat in Game 3 of the 2011 Eastern Conference Semifinals at TD Garden.
Garnett dropped 28 points and 18 rebounds, becoming just the sixth Celtics player in franchise history to tally at least 28 points and 18 rebounds in a playoff game, according to Boston Sports Info (@BostonSportsInf).

The victory was Boston's only win of the series -- the Heat eventually lost to the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Finals -- but this was one of the last great playoff efforts from the Big Three, as Paul Pierce added 27 points and Ray Allen chipped in 15.
The Celtics are a brutal 2-8 all-time in games played on May 7. Here's their only other victory:
