Danica Patrick and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. have ended their relationship.

NASCAR’s most famous couple have split, a spokesperson told the Associated Press.

Patrick and Stenhouse started dating in 2012 after she came to NASCAR from the IndyCar Series. She publicly confirmed their relationship in January of 2013.

The couple played an April Fool’s joke earlier this year with a fake engagement ring. The ruse had some people thinking they would be getting married until Patrick said the next day that it was just a joke.

Patrick, 35, will participate in February’s Daytona 500 and then call it quits in NASCAR. The 2018 Indianapolis 500 will be her final auto race before she retires. Her full-time career ended at the end of the 2017 season after she parted ways with Stewart-Haas Racing.

Stenhouse, 30, won two races in 2017 and made NASCAR’s playoffs. Patrick’s races ended early because of crashes in both of those wins and she was able to meet him in victory lane. He’ll be back in 2018 with Roush Fenway Racing.
