Say what? Damian Lillard has worse rating in NBA 2k 22 than last year originally appeared on NBC Sports Northwest

With NBA 2k 22 about three weeks away, the company has been releasing ratings of some of the top stars in the game.

One of the ratings released has been of the NBA 2K21 cover athlete, Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard, who was a 95 overall at the start of that game.

Lillard will be a 94 overall in the game this year. That puts him in the top ten of highest-rated players, and his rating is tied with James Harden and Luka Donicic.

The 2020-21 season deserves a high rating. From him averaging 28.8 points (second highest of his career); having the second most efficient season of his career; averaging 34 in the playoffs; having a historic Game 5 against the Nuggets, and of course, being named an All-Star and to All-NBA. This past season was special for Lillard.

The 31-year-old is in the prime of his career and his popularity couldn’t be any higher. Debates will emerge if 94 is right for him. What can’t be debated is if he’s one of the top players in the league and deserves to be ranked as one in the virtual world.
