Damian Lillard has been in the zone, to say the least, since the NBA's restart in the Orlando bubble began. That continued Wednesday night in the Portland Trail Blazers' Game 1 100-93 upset win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
Lillard led all scorers with 34 points in the win. The Oakland native showed just how in the zone he was when Too Short's "Blow the Whistle" played over the speakers and the star point guard couldn't help but dance in the middle of a playoff game after nailing a deep 3-pointer to tie the game at 87.

After the game, Lillard explained what came over him when the "East Oakland anthem" came on.
"They played the East Oakland anthem," Lillard said. "So it was only right I acknowledged the East Oakland anthem and go dumb for a second."

Lillard grew up in Brookfield Village, a neighborhood in East Oakland. He started off his high school career at Arroyo High School, transferred to St. Joseph Notre Dame High School for his sophomore year and finished his final two seasons at Oakland High School.
Once again, though, a big night from Lillard prompted more comparisons to Warriors star Steph Curry. Kenny Smith even said on TNT's "Inside the NBA" to Curry "I don't think you can shoot as deep as him Steph. I got to see it when you come back."
Well, Curry wasn't a big fan of that.

No matter the Curry comparisons, or shade, all of the Bay Area should be on Lillard and the Blazers' side right now.
