We are all about making lists these days.
A list of the greatest NBA players or sometimes we're even more specific to a list of the greatest centers or point guards.
There are plenty of all-time rankings out there, but when Allen Iverson gives his list of his top NBA players -- we all listen.
The NBA legend recently joined Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson on Showtime’s ‘All the Smoke’ Podcast.
AI not only dished out his thoughts on who he believes are the all-time greatest NBA players, he also talked about the changes of the NBA game over the years, his battles against Kobe Bryant, what has gone on in his life in 2020 and much more.
But, back to his list.
Iverson has placed Trail Blazers five-time All-star Damian Lillard on his all-time greatest NBA players list.
Lillard is in some great company in AI’s mind when the initial question from Barnes was focused on Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James.
But then Lillard’s name and his game came into play.
And AI made the comment in a very Allen-Iverson way:
"My favorite is always going to be Mike. But, Kobe, -- my one and two. And LeBron [James] just so great....
"I just love Mike so much," Iverson said. "And Kobe is the closest thing to me, to Mike. And then LeBron is just, hands down, LeBron James -- He’s in a class by himself, you know, what I mean? And then, Shaq. And… y’all know how I feel about Steph Curry. But that mother****er Dame D.O.L.L.A. -- woo-wee."
Iverson also talked about Vince Carter's game and his hops.
We knew that Iverson keeps it real, but now we know he keeps it Lillard Time real too.
