Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper is in line to get a massive pay day, but has not yet held discussions pertaining to his new contract, according to Jane Slater of NFL Network.
The 25-year-old is slated to become an unrestricted free agent in March, but reportedly wants to be part of the Cowboys for the foreseeable future.
#Cowboys WR Amari Cooper says he hasn’t had any discussions with his agent about his contract but told me he wants to be in Dallas for a long time. Hasn’t spoken to new WR coach Adam Henry but says wants to get feedback from OBJ and Jarvis Landry who happens to be here

Regardless of the Cleveland Browns duo’s input on his free agency situation, Cooper earned his fourth Pro Bowl appearance in five years and is set up to becoming one of the highest-earning receivers in the league.
Cooper’s 1,189 receiving yards ranked eighth in the NFL, while his eight receiving touchdowns tied him for ninth.
While Cooper’s new deal will not likely come close to the record-breaking contract New Orleans Saints’ Michael Thomas was able to land, it’s safe to assume that he will be one of the highest-paid receivers in the NFL come spring.
