Dak Prescott gets sacked on first three pass plays in Cowboys-Rams game

Coming into Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott had been pressured on just 33.2% of his dropbacks this season, the 25th-lowest figure among quarterbacks playing at least 20% of their snaps. But the Rams’ defense had no respect whatsoever for that, or for Dallas’ offensive line, as this game started.

Prescott was sacked on each of his first three dropbacks. Defensive tackle Michael Hoecht got Dak right away…

Then, rookie edge-rusher Byron Young sacked Prescott, though that was negated by an illegal contact penalty…

…And then, as you would expect, Aaron Donald was in the mix, as well.

To Prescott’s credit, he got on a hot streak once he was protected, leading a touchdown drive that ended with this 18-yard touchdown to tight end Jake Ferguson.
