Dad shows what it was like if he had the ‘same problems’ as his toddler

A father imagined what mornings were like through the eyes of his middle child. Now, ParentTok is in stitches.

TikTok dad @daddylahaie embodied exactly what it was like to be a toddler middle child in a hilarious sketch. The father saw himself in the shoes of his second-born in the skit titled, “If I had the same problems as my kids.” Nothing was OK, and everything hurt.

“So I wake up in a grumpy mood because I only got 10 hours of sleep. Daddy gets me Cheerios and milk, but he doesn’t put it on the right spot on the table. Fine, whatever,” he said.

The father sat at his kid’s activity table and fiddled with some of the toys.

“Then, when I go to the table to eat the Cheerios, my brother and sister are looking at me. I’ve told them a hundred billion times that I don’t want them to look at me. But they keep looking at me. So I keep screaming and crying,” he explained.

His tone remained very matter-of-fact and sardonic, but the father wasn’t afraid to see himself from his child’s perspective, either.

“What does daddy do? Nothing. I mean, tell me I’m the middle child without telling me I’m the middle child. Am I being unreasonable here? I think I’m making a lot of sense,” the dad signed off.

People on TikTok could relate to the middle child monologue.

“This is my child. Please make a series,” a person wrote.

“It really sounds so valid when you put it like this,” another said.

“Today I had the AUDACITY to give my son ‘wet’ ice,” a TikToker joked.

“It’s as if my middle child wrote this,” someone added.

“Child therapist here, welcome to the first 10 minutes of every hour of my day,” a user commented.
