D.C. Defenders vs. New York Guardians: Date, Time, Live Stream, How to Watch

After a successful first week for the XFL and the team, the 1-0 DC Defenders return to Audi Field in Washington D.C. to host the New York Guardians.

Both teams opened their season with double-digit home victories and will be vying for the rebooted league's first winning streak in the early time slot Saturday. The Defenders overcame a halftime deficit in front of over 17,000 fans to come away with a 31-19 win over the Dragons in the opening week, while the Guardians blew out the Tampa Bay Vipers, 23-3.

Saturday's game will feature two signal-callers who enjoyed successful college careers and spent time in the NFL. Cardale Jones of the Defenders helped Ohio State win a national championship in 2015, while the Guardians' Aaron Murray was a four-year starter at Georgia, where he set the SEC record for passing yards and touchdowns through the air.

Jones had a better stat line between the two passers in the first week. The former Buckeye completed 16-of-26 passes for 235 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Murray was 16-of-34 passing for 231 yards with two interceptions.

With only a 10-game regular season and just the top-two teams from each division eligible for the postseason, this early season matchup carries heavier implications.
