According to a report from David Kaplan, Cubs chairman Tom Ricketts and his family are creating a plan to pay their gameday employees and staff even if the league is to miss games due to a shutdown caused by the outbreak of COVID-19.
Cubs chairman Tom Ricketts & family are formulating plans in concert w/MLB to make sure all of their game day employees are paid if MLB misses games due to the Covid 19 shutdown. They have some time to finalize their action plan because MLB season was not yet scheduled to begin.

The specifics of the plan are not yet available, as the Ricketts family is still working through the details but it is great to see the Cubs step up as we have seen other franchises in Chicago do.
