Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo remains day-to-day with lower back tightness, manager David Ross said Tuesday.
Rizzo took live batting practice on Sunday and originally experienced no back issues, but Ross said Tuesday "a little bit of that stiffness" returned after Rizzo cooled down.
"He's still a day-to-day [and we're] trying to get some tests run and see where he's at," Ross told reporters on Tuesday.
Rizzo has been limited since last Tuesday because of the ailment.
