Watch: Ed Howard hits RBI double in Instructional League debut originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago
The Cubs' season has come to a close, but they have a team of minor leaguers playing against other clubs in the Arizona Instructional League.
Cubs 2020 first-round pick Ed Howard is on the team, and the 18-year-old shortstop out of Mount Carmel wasted no time making a mark in his debut.
In Wednesday's game against the Giants, Howard hit an RBI double on the first pitch of his first at-bat. His mom shared a video of the moment on Twitter.

It may only be Instructional League play, but it's cool to see Howard on the diamond after a lost minor league season due to COVID-19.
