Iowa State would like very much to make the next cut, and ultimately a commitment, from a three-star safety from the state of Missouri. A weekend unofficial visit was the biggest step yet for the Cyclone coaching staff.
Florissant (Mo.) Hazelwood Central defender Dallas Craddieth took his first trip to Ames over the weekend and got a detailed look at ISU.
The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Craddieth is the 10th-ranked player in his state for 2018 and the 36th safety nationally. In addition to I-State, he has P5 offers from the likes of Duke, Kansas State, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Ole Miss, Missouri, North Carolina, Purdue, Syracuse, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin.
He said the weekend stop in Ames was more about comparing and contrasting ISU to the other programs that are high on his list.
