Cowboys at 14 in both polls after bye week

Though they were off this weekend with a bye, the Oklahoma State Cowboys moved up one spot in the AP Top 25 to No. 14, while holding steady at 14 in the Coaches Poll.

TCU (No.6 AP, No. 7 Coaches) and Oklahoma (12/12) are the Big 12 teams ahead of the Pokes in the polls. Texas Tech (24/NR) is the only other conference school in either poll. West Virginia dropped out of both polls after losing at TCU this weekend.

All of this means all of OSU's goals remain in front of them. TCU sits atop the Big 12 standings at 2-0, along with Texas. The Cowboys are in a six-way tie for third with OU, Tech, Iowa State, Kansas State, WVU and Kansas State. Running the table in the rest of the conference slate would ensure the Cowboys a spot in the Big 12 Championship and potentially set up a re-match with TCU in that game.

Conference play resumes for the Pokes next Saturday, when they will host 0-5 Baylor for Homecoming. Kickoff is set for 2:30 P.M. and will be televised on Fox Sports 1.
