Court records: West Chester physical therapist indicted on child pornography charges
A West Chester Township physical therapist is facing child pornography possession charges, according to documents filed in Butler County Common Pleas Court.
Dr. Matthew Sigler, of Ascension Physiotherapy, was indicted Wednesday on 10 counts of illegal use of a minor in a nudity-oriented material or performance, a fifth-degree felony, court records show.
The court records didn't detail the specific allegations Sigler is facing. The Enquirer has requested documents related to the case.
The investigation began after police received a tip about a Snapchat account, Butler County Assistant Prosecutor Lindsey Sheehan told Enquirer media partner Fox19, adding there were no identifiable victims.

State Medical Board of Ohio records show Sigler has been a licensed physical therapist since June 2016.
According to state disciplinary records, the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Athletic Trainer's Board released Sigler from a consent agreement in September 2021.
The agreement − which required Sigler to pay a $500 fine and complete a "professional boundaries and ethics" course − stemmed from an unrelated incident that occurred in January 2020, according to state records.
While Sigler was in an inappropriate relationship with a patient that started sometime in 2018, he texted a patient a picture "in which Sigler was wearing pants with the impression of an erection underneath," the records state.
Prior to becoming a physical therapist, Sigler worked as a bartender, substitute teacher, football coach, visual artist, personal trainer, a children’s hospital IT staff member, sawmill operator and cable installer, according to Ascension Physiotherapy's website.
Sigler's lawyer has yet to respond to messages from The Enquirer seeking comment on the case.
Court records show Sigler has been granted an own-recognizance bond and is scheduled to appear in court for an arraignment on Wednesday.
