Could Jerry Jeudy be apart of the NFL’s next great WR duo?

One of the big headlines in Denver ahead of the 2021 NFL season is the return of Courtland Sutton to the wide receiver room.

Last season, Sutton went down with a season-ending knee injury. Now that he has recovered, he is ready to team up with Jerry Jeudy in hopes to form the next best wide receiver duo in the NFL.

Broncos Wire’s Jon Heath says that the duo of Sutton and Jeudy will make it tough for defenses to just focus on one receiver, no matter who wins the quarterback competition.

One of the reasons these two could form a dangerous tandem is Sutton’s willingness to learn from other receivers. In May, he stated that he is looks forward to “pinball” ideas off of Jeudy, which will help the room as a whole.

“Being able to watch him from a distance was nice,” says Sutton. “But now, being able to watch those things that I saw on film, I wish I could have asked him in those moments. Now, I get to go in, and if I see something, [I can] say, ‘What made you do it like this? Alright, cool. Try it like this and see what happens differently.”

Jeudy shined during his rookie campaign as a Bronco, as he was the teams leading receiver with 856 yards on 52 catches with three touchdowns. His longest reception was a 92-yard touchdown catch from Drew Lock against the Las Vegas Raiders in the final game of the season.
