Cougars narrowly clipped by Berea

Feb. 5—The Somerset Christian Cougars were hoping to snap a two-game skid on Friday as they welcomed in the Berea Pirates to the Cougar Den. The teams battled down to the wire but it was the Pirates that ultimately came out on top by just a two-point margin, as Somerset Christian fell 57-55 for their third loss in a row.

The Cougars were led by Braley Adderley, who had 16 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double in the narrow loss. Other scorers included Jack Baker with 12, Elijah Brummett and Ethan Warren with nine apiece, Isaiah Hensley with seven and Gavin Wilson with two.

Somerset Christian falls to 8-14 and will next be in action on Tuesday as they travel to Barbourville to take on the Tigers at 7:30 p.m.
